Having the option of two different weights, within one duvet is perfect for us! Myself and my MR B constantly debate if its too hot or too cold and this is also true about our choice of duvet. I love to be snug and am keen as summer turns to autumn to change to our winter duvet, cue lots of complaints from Mr B that he is constantly too hot (and the opposite again in the Spring)
The Made for you two duvet provides the perfect compromise between the two with a 4.5tog side (perfect for Mr B) and a 10.5 tog side perfect for me. I can honestly say that I hadn’t realised that you could get a duvet with two different weightings, but this has helped to create a more harmonious sleeping environment. The duvet itself feels quality being made of hollowfibre with a microfibre cover.
The duvet is a reasonable weight, and we road-tested the Kingsize option, which was reasonable for me to change singlehanded, despite the size. The duvet has a fibre filling which means it is non allergenic which is an important consideration for us as my husband is allergic to down, which limits our choices, however with this duvet, it does not feel like a loss as this duvet has all the comfort but without compromising on quality.
The outer cover of the duvet is not like some duvets of a similar price point, which have a rigid paper feel. As I unpacked the duvet I was pleased with the how soft the material cover felt, being soft and smooth. With the two different cosiness sides to the duvet it makes snuggling down on an autumn night a pleasure. The duvet is machine washable at 40degrees which is again an important consideration for us and meant it was really comfortable when fitted into our cover. The duvet delivered exactly as promised. Mr B was comfortable and just at the right temperature with the 4.5tog side, while I got the 10.5tog side which was cosy and snug.
The Slumberdown Made for You Two duvet having two different warmth sides means it will have longevity and for the price of £25 this represents excellent value for money, although what you would expect from Slumberdown.
