As a mum of a two-year-old little girl I am always delighted to be able to trial different brands of nappy. I feel safe with the current brand we use and have this fear of change just in case the unthinkable could happen whilst we are out and about.

We were initially sent the Rascals Premium Nappies (30 pack), the Rascals Premium Nappy Pants (22 pack) and the Rascals Premium Sensitive Wipes (52 pack). We haven’t used actual nappies for my daughter for a while now as we are trying to transition to using a potty. Abi, the lady who arranged the dispatch of the nappies was happy to send a further pack of the Nappy Pants. I wasn’t required to send the Nappies back so I gave these to a friend to trial.

Rascals was founded in 2016 by a New Zealand Mum of four. The products are now sold in 25 countries all over the world. Both the nappies and the nappy pants have up to 12 hours of leak protection. The products use a unique Hydrolock Core which absorbs liquid with 4 layers of protection. All the products are dermatologically tested so are safe for sensitive skin. They also have a fast dry layer to keep baby as dry as possible.

Rascals have teamed up with CoComelon for the Nappy Pants. The nappies have images of JJ and his friends on them. I really liked the feel of these nappy pants, they are soft and they feel like a substantial product but not bulking. The UltraFlex 360 waistband fits well and seems really comfortable. The nappy pants can easily be pulled up and down by an adult or a child. They also rip easily at the side to remove, if this is required on a change. The Nappy Pants are available in size 4 – 7.

We were lucky enough to try both the size 7 and the size 6. In our current brand we are in a 6+ so I was interested to see the difference in size. Both sizes were great for my daughter, and we didn’t have any leaks at all.

The traditional nappies are available in sizes 3 – 6 and have the same features as the Nappy Pants in addition to the stretchy high back waistband and a wetness indicator.

I really liked the wipes. Some wipes are a little flimsy and break when they are really needed. The Rascals Premium Wipes are 0% fragrance and dermatologically tested. The wipes are made with a premium embossed cloth which makes the wipes very robust. The other benefit is the packaging is design to ensure that only one wipe will come out at a time – to save on waste. This is something I find quite frustrating with other brands.

My experience of this brand has been great and I will certainly be changing to the Rascals Nappy Pants.

The Nappy Pants costs £5.50 and the number of nappies in the pack depends on the chosen size but this ranges from 28 in a pack of size 5 to 22 in a pack of size 7. The traditional nappies also cost £5.50 and range from 32 in a pack of size 5 to 26 in a pack of size 7. The wipes cost £1.20 for a pack of 52 wipes.

Rating: 5/5 – excellent products.
