When we received the Elektra Pogo Stick from Ozbozz we were delighted and couldn’t wait to use it. The children love it and I wanted to have a sneaky go myself thinking that it would be easy! We received it in blue but there are other colours available.
The pogo stick measures approx. 38” high with the foot rest about 10” off the floor. It has non-slip foot grip and handles and a rubber stopper on the bottom with a heavy duty spring for a super bounce. It is suitable for age 6 years and over.
After unpacking the only setup required was to install 4x AA batteries for the flashing lights on the front panel. At first we could not see how the lights switched on but soon found out that when you start bouncing it activates the flashing lights and turns off when you stop bouncing – a great little function.
Now the batteries where in it was time to bounce so out into the garden we went. After a few failed attempts the children soon got the hang of it and were happily bouncing around the patio with the occasional stumble and the lights flashing away.
As I said earlier I wanted a go myself (it has a weight limit of 75kg) but have now decided to leave it to the younger generation as it is was a lot harder than I thought as the most I got was 2 bounces before coming off, although it is great exercise.
Overall, this is great fun for kids. On the first few uses the spring was very stiff but did ease with use and I would recommend using knee and elbow pads and a helmet to begin with as it does take a bit of getting used to and falling off is inevitable. It is strong, durable and a good quality pogo stick with a strong bounce and will provide hours of endless bouncing and help with balance as well as being great exercise. You will need to supervise young children until they get their balance.
With a RRP of £29.99 this is great value for money to get the kids outside playing as well as getting exercise and enjoying themselves. Cheaper than a computer game and lots more fun.
