With Easter fast approaching I have been on the hunt for Easter baskets for my little ones to use on the big day. I was therefore really pleased to be sent Monsoon’s Easter Bunny Basket bag from Very as it will be perfect for my little girl. I hadn’t even thought of Monsoon when I had started to look for Easter bits, however quickly discovered that they do a really sweet range of items including other themed or fancy dress bits including fairy wings and wand on top of their lovely children’s clothes and accessories.
It arrived quickly, with simple and sufficient packaging (no excess waste) including bubble wrap for protection which ensured there was no damage in transit. Upon opening it I realised that the basket is quite small which initially was a bit disappointing given the price (as including postage it would be £17.99), however from use I think it’s actually the perfect size for a young child to carry independently and there is still plenty of space to hold all the treats that they find.
The design is lovely and made up to be a very cute characterful bunny. On the front it has all the elements of a little bunny rabbit made in 3D. Little pom poms make a cute button nose and little paws whilst whiskers, eyes and mouth details are sewn in. I love the added detail of the little bunny tail on the back made from a larger white pom pom. The white felt ears come out of the bag and certainly add to the overall bunny design. The attention to detail with a pretty floral fabric sewn into the ears centre is really lovely. The main basket has gold thread woven into it and the glittery gold handle make the design very attractive to adults and children alike.
The bag is made from 50% Polyester and 50% Polyurethane and therefore only wipe clean so I am hoping it will be a dry day at Easter and then be used on an inside basis. It appears well made and good quality as I would expect from Monsoon as a brand.
I know my little girl will love using this to gather eggs and other hidden surprise at Easter and I can see her using it following on from then to collect her toys and carry them around the house. From my perspective it’s also very sweet and looks great in her room as a storage basket. The website also suggests that it could be used decoratively for Easter as part of a table centerpiece which would certainly be unique and look very sweet.
The website Very now has many Monsoon items and therefore I would personally recommend having a good browse before purchasing and getting a few bits at once and is a good excuse to save on postage fees!
