Moleskine Limited Edition Sakura Notebook Review

This is such a cute and adorable notebook which I will be giving to my granddaughter for Easter as opposed to an Easter egg. It will be great for her to use a journal and the colours, design, images and concept of the notebook I know, will go down a storm.

It is hardcover, front and back has a beautiful design which depicts someone sitting on a bench with a book, another person looking up at a tree and taking a picture and someone else walking with their dog.

It is beautifully made with a textile pattern of predominantly pink with some brown, and blue use on the images of the people, tree and dog. There are some stunningly designed silver flowers dotted around on both the front and back of the book too.

On the back of the book is an illustration of a pond with fish in it. The front and back of this notebook is very scenic and made feel very calm, relaxed and with nature.

O.M.G. Upon opening the book, I was astounded at how the illustrations did not just stop at the front and back of the notebook. Where I describe the front and back, this carries on inside the book when you open it with more detail. It was a bright sunny day as I sat in my garden looking at this notebook and I truly did feel at peace. I could feel myself within the illustration and it felt lovely and beautiful. You really do need to get the notebook to see and feel what I mean. The textile artwork is by Yuri Himuro and is truly a real inspiration. I have never felt this way about a design of a book. At the back of the notebook is a pocket that is expandable. In this, I will be placing some happy thoughts and quotes for my granddaughter. Sadly, she is being bullied at school which is being worked on and by having this with her, she can take out the thoughts and quotes, have a read and she will not feel alone. Some will be inspirational, other will be funny to help make her feel safe, confident and happy. The expandable pocket is not overly big and I would therefore would not want to overload as it ideally needs to stay flat in order to be able to close the notebook.

There is also a beautiful story card with a themed message, along with a set of stickers with images of those both on the front and back of the notebook and inside and the pages inside are stunning, whilst they are plain, they really are stunning.

There is an elastic strap that can easily keep the notebook closed and it is very strong and sturdy. Within the notebook has a beautiful soft pink ribbon which you use as a page marker. What else I love about this notebook is the fact the corners of it are round, making it easier to handle.

I checked to see and feel how robust this notebook was by opening it up fully and laying it flat. There were no dents or creases in the papers or the book and bind itself. This was great as it means it can stay looking brand new without causing any weakness to the notebook.

.   Honestly, you really do need to buy this, it is such a beautiful notebook for all the reasons I have mentioned and will make a really lovely keepsake for whichever reason(s) you use it for.
