Elf Pets: An Arctic Fox Tradition Review

Christmas is a really magical time of year for children and adults. Most people by now have heard of the antics the Elf on the Shelf can get up to in the lead up to the big day but you might not know about Elf Pets. The latest new edition is An Arctic Fox Tradition. 

This is a fantastic box set that consists of a hardbound storybook and an adoptable Arctic Fox. A perfect gift for Christmas that can be enjoyed again throughout the year. 

The book is beautifully illustrated with stunning images of the Northern Lights and animals such as Polar Bears, Reindeer and of course the focus of the story – An Arctic Fox.

The book is a perfect winter read with great descriptions of the weather and the surroundings. Rhyming verse make it a pleasure to read and listen to and the colourful pages really capture children’s attention. 

An Artic Fox Tradition helps explain to children how Santa manages to complete his journey in one night and is a lovely story of hope and how children can help keep the magic of Christmas alive all year long. The message of spreading joy is a really lovely one.

It’s worth mentioning that because this book is written by Chanda A. Bell who is an American author there is a reference to the Arctic Fox being a Mom but obviously if reading aloud to younger children who cannot read themselves you could easily say whatever suits your family best. 

The Elf Pets Arctic Fox Cub is gorgeous and really well made. The perfect size for children to cuddle and hold whilst enjoying the story. The fur is a glorious bright white, extremely soft and fluffy to the touch with a magnificent bushy tail which we learn in the story is what helps to create the lights that hide Santa on his journey. 

The cub has ice blue paws which make it even more beautiful. The cubs eyes are made up of blue, green and purple again reinforcing the theme of the amazing Northern Lights.  

Around the cubs neck is a red collar that holds the magical glow-in-the dark snow that you can activate by holding under a light for a couple of minutes. It’s a really adorable heart shaped charm inside the globe and the book that accompanies the Arctic Fox cub teaches children that if they shake and swirl the snow globe throughout the year it will let Santa know that they still believe which is a really sweet addition to this lovely set.

The back of the book contains a page to fill in (Official adoption certificate) the date that you welcomed your Elf Pets Arctic Fox into your family and a space to fill in the name you have chosen for the cub which really makes this an extra special gift. 

This set is really good value for money because the enchanting Christmas story can be enjoyed every year in the lead up to Christmas and the Arctic Fox cub is a lovely addition to the family all year long as it’s so soft and cuddly. A really adorable soft toy to add to any collection.
