Little Cooks Co Subscription Box Review

Reviewed by Ilze Lee

We were given the opportunity to review a sample of the Little Cooks Co subscription box recently. I jumped at the chance as my daughter loves baking and cooking. Me – not so much, which is exactly why this subscription box is so great.

I know my daughter would love to spend more time in the kitchen, but as I am not as keen on that as she is, it very often seems to be what goes down on our priority list when things get busy.

I forget to look up easy and nutritious recipes for her to work with, and when I do, the ingredients needed end up at the bottom of the grocery list. Unless you are a super organised person, you might know that those at the bottom of the list rarely actually make it all the way to the trolley! Or is that just me…?

Little Cooks Co is a monthly subscription box that takes most of that away. It is packed with the natural and healthy dry ingredients that is needed for that month’s recipes, all organic.

The sample box we got through was for strawberry muffins. I was immediately impressed with the lovely packaging. Leah was excited to open it up.

The recipe cards clearly states all the information we need; Prep and cook time, how many servings, ingredients included in the box as well as those that needs added on, as well as the implements needed. This helped a lot with getting her organised and another learning opportunity in why it is important to get everything prepped beforehand.

The recipe itself was only 10 steps, so not at all overwhelming for her.

There was also clear nutritional information on the strawberry muffins.

One of the things I really loved about this kit is the occasional tip/fun facts and activities included. She loved using the colouring sheet whilst we were waiting for the muffins to bake.

I can clearly see why this subscription box will be very popular with families. Besides it being fun activities to do during weekends and holidays when there is a bit more time to fill, it’s really great to connect over something like this. Having fun whilst your child is learning AND having something yummy at the end of it… What’s not to like?

The price for this subscription box, including postage, is as follows at the time of writing:

  • Month by month: £8.99
  • 3 months: £25.99
  • 6 months: £50.99
  • 12 months: £100.99

The subscription box includes two recipes. As it is designed by a registered nutritionist, it is a big bonus that no refined sugar or processed ingredients are being used in these.

The packaging is letterbox friendly and 100% recyclable and compostable.

We were delighted with this sample box, and I will definitely consider this subscription box as a gift at Christmas and birthdays for the younger people on my lists.

We would give this a very easy 4.5/5. It might be a slight bit pricey in comparison to buying your own ingredients, but considering the quality, the fact that it’s organic and the ease of having most ingredients all ready, it is worth every penny.

Rating: 4.5/5
