Interview – The Lovely Owner Of Little Scandi Baby

I am delighted to have interviewed the lovely owner of Little Scandi Baby…
What was your background before starting your business?
I graduated as a fashion designer and after graduating i worked for a well-known bridal designer and progressed my career in the bridal industry for a good few years and later on I started building a career in for baby and kids essentials and now slowly kids apparel. I was in home furnishing for 8 years while building Little Scandi baby and only started trading in 2020.
How and when did your business come about?
It all started during the covid in 2020. One day I had an urge and passion in for babies and kids essentials and apparel, to build a brand that talks about lifestyle, playfulness, quality in the making with the right source of materials and lastly design. To build a brand that is modern trendy and stylish.
I am originally from Denmark and i want to bring in some Danish culture to the brand and all i had in my mind while building the brand which is ongoing, I want to emphasise the focus on quality materials and fibres and non-China manufactured products. We are based in London at the products are made in the UK too.

Is there any advice that you would like to give someone starting a new business?
Make sure you’re passionate about your business. Interest or dream doesn’t lead anywhere. An interest can eventually die down and a dream is not realistic, having a passion and determination with a goal in mind will lead to a greater success. You got to know what you want to do, is there a market for it, make your company a brand, and lastly dont think its a quick process, dont be afraid of trying and failing. Failing doesnt mean you did anything wrong or being a failure but that you learnt something and its a progress for something greater
What do you enjoy doing to relax?
In fact i need to learn to relax. I don’t think I’m ever good at relaxing as i keep thinking about my business. If i do, i do love to sit in front of the TV and just relax on the sofa.
