My husband is a massive Formula 1 fan and in recent years I have found myself getting more and more hooked. The fast cars, the drivers and the excitement and the danger that each race brings. The glitz and the glamour and the scandal makes Formula 1 an exciting and quite addictive pass time.
We were really excited to have the opportunity to see Guenther Steiner at the Lighthouse in Poole on Tuesday 15th July 2025. The show was originally scheduled for the end of June but unfortunately this had to be rescheduled by Guenther Steiner, himself.
This new tour follows Guenther’s sell out tour in 2024 and coincides with the release of his latest book, “unfiltered”. The book gives Guenther’s view on Formula 1, from hiring and firing drivers, balancing books, pre-season preparations, the design, launch and testing of a car, culminating in the inside story of his severance from the Haas F1 team.
We had not attended an event like this before so we were unsure what to expected. I was concerned it might get a little boring, listening to one person but that was not the case. Guenther is a real character. He is a funny man, and we found ourselves chuckling at the silliest things. Listening to Guenther was really eye opening. When you are following your favourite F1 team you do not appreciate what goes on behind the scenes and quite how stressful the working environment can be.
Our seats were excellent, offering a clear view of the stage without any obstruction. The seats themselves were comfortable, which is not always the case in theatres. The Lighthouse venue was an ideal setting for the show, with its traditional theatre charm and convenient location in the centre of Poole.
The show started at 7.30pm, which was a perfect time for a weekday performance. It allowed us to finish work and sort out the babysitter and still get to the show without feeling rushed. The show was on for just under 2 hours with an interval, which was about 20 minutes. Just enough time to have a comfort break, grab a drink and a snack.
The Lighthouse is located at 21 Kingland Road, Poole, Dorset, BH15 1UG, and it’s easily accessible by car, train, or bus. The venue has a handy car park just across the road and is within walking distance of Poole train and bus station. We took advantage of the Beacon Café and Bar before the show, enjoying a pre-show drink and taking in the atmosphere.
Tickets for the show were priced from £34 to £72. Given the quality of the performance and the venue, it was money well spent. There was an opportunity to buy tickets for a meet and greet with Guenther, but this was an extra £100 or so per person. We do love Guenther, and I am sure this would have been an amazing opportunity, but it was a little pricey.
The Unfiltered tour continues at various theatres all over the country until November 2025.

Rating: 5/5 – a must for all F1 fans.
