VEX Gift Card Review

Father’s Day will soon be here and sometimes it can be really hard knowing what to buy for your Dad or father figure. Gift cards are always a great idea but then you need to decide which store to buy it for which I find can be just as tricky! Well, I certainly don’t have that problem any more as I was recently introduced to VEX cards, a gift card that you purchase online, which is then sent directly to your chosen recipient via email or in the post. Once they receive it they can redeem it on the VEX website where they can choose from over 150 Gift Cards and eGift Cards. There are so many different brands to choose from including food outlets, high street stores, garden centre vouchers, supermarkets, theatre tokens, days out and hotels so there is bound to be something they will love. The VEX card is available from as little as £10 and up to £250 so no matter what your budget you can treat the one you love.

So how does it work, well as I mentioned you buy the VEX card online and you have the option of a digital voucher or a physical gift card. If you select the digital card, it is sent out straight away via email and you can add a personal message to go with your card. If you choose a physical card then you can also select a gift card to go with it. Postage is dependent on the value of the gift card, gift cards up to £30 are sent by 1st class post and cost £1.75, gift cards valued between £30.01 and £99.99 are sent by Recorded delivery, requiring a signature and cost £2.95 and gift cards with a value of £100+ are sent by Special delivery again requiring a signature and cost £5.75. If you have left it to the last minute and need next day delivery this costs £7.50.

When I received my VEX gift card it was in a card wallet with clear instructions on how to use the card and the bottom of the card had lots of places where the gift card could be redeemed. There was a sticker on the back with the value of the gift card, a 20 digit number for redeeming the card and a panel that you scratch off to reveal the PIN number. I went onto the website to redeem the card and found it so simple to use, the hardest thing was actually choosing which retailer to redeem the voucher with!

After placing your order, you instantly receive a confirmation email that includes your order number, value of gift card and which gift card you have purchased. I chose a National Gardens digital gift card and this arrived only a minute after placing the order so I was really impressed with the speed of delivery. Obviously, a physical gift card will take a little longer to arrive.

I was really impressed with the simplicity of ordering and the speed of delivery and will certainly be buying VEX card again for my family and friends. I no longer need to spend ages choosing presents and my Father In Law will enjoy choosing something special to treat himself to!
