On first impression I found the packaging minimal yet sufficient. The Mini was attached to a small cardboard box but was easy enough to take off (although not too easy for a child). If this was for a collector of Mini's who wanted to pop it in a display cabinet or on a mantel piece, it was strong enough to sustain its shape.
At the front of the box is what looks like a British registration plate saying SLIX, the name they have given to this particular colour and type of Mini. This again would look great if it was to go on show rather than to be played with.
It clearly says all over the packaging that it is suitable for 3 years plus. The Mini logo looks smart and also gives you more trust in the product. Overall the packaging looks neat but fun and makes the car seem very exciting!
This particular Mini is bright yellow. It is light and very easy to push along a smooth surface. With just a little effort it goes far. The front of the Mini has the recognisable stripes down the bonnet and the big headlights. Added features are big eyes on the windscreen shaped like the black of the windscreen is hair. All in all it looks like a very friendly face and has character. This makes it very appealing to children.
The Union Jack on the roof is a common feature with Mini’s and along with the registration plate on the packaging gives it a very British feel, which is great for a Mini. The colours on the car are great. Bright and fun! It is a perfect size; not too big or bulky or heavy, but not so small that it would easily get lost or forgotten about.
The actual build of the car is also very sturdy. As a parent I definitely trust it enough to give to my children- it would take a lot of bashing to get it apart!
