We have a few board games within our house, but after playing them over and over again we were excited when Labyrinth from Ravensburger arrived as it was something new…  a new challenge.

At first glance you think it’s fairly simple, or so my 9 year old thought until she started playing and realised all is not what it seems and the game board moves!

The game itself consists of game tiles each with a piece of the maze that you put together to start, as you take your turn you have to pull a 'tab' like an extra piece of maze that changes the board to make it more difficult and exciting for the other players to move their token and collect their treasure and get to the opposite side of the board to be crowned the winner.

It is an exciting game to play, and once in the swing of things it got easier to come to terms with, it caused a few arguments and lots of laughs especially when one player moved her piece to put a dead-end in her dad’s way.

It is a great game all-round and one that we played over and over again. We enjoyed it so much we took it to a family member’s house when we went to visit and as we were a dab hand at the game we took great pleasure in beating them!

Not only is it a great family game but its a good game to get the brain working, and is great to help not just children but older player too with problem solving.

I would recommend this to every family, even more so with the Christmas period approaching – what better way to spend a day with the family.

A big thumbs up.

Suitable for 2-4 players, ages 7-99 years.
