Luscombe is a Devon based drinks brand based on blending Dartmoor spring water with the best quality organic fruit from producers around the world. With this as a strong basis for the creation of quality drinks it is more than reassuring to know that Luscombe have garnered 90 Great Taste Awards from the Guild of Fine Food and a Royal Warrant from HRH The Prince Of Wales.
With that strong suit of credentials Luscombe might be relied upon for a delicious Valentine’s treat in this, their Valentine’s Cocktail Edit.

In a classy white box you’ll find all the ingredients you need for two servings each of two cocktails. The master mixologist who devised these cocktails is Louis Xavier Louis-Smith.
The first is Rolling Hills, with sloe gin, the Salcombe gin Start Point and Luscombe’s Wild Elderflower Bubbly. This is a refreshing and light flavoured mix which looks lovely in the highball glasses provided. The cocktail recipe book included suggests mixing with ice and slices of lemon which certainly adds an extra layer of the experience.
There’s also Devon Spritz, with Luscombe’s Damascene Rose Bubbly to mix with Devon Cove Vodka along with English Sparkling Wine. This is suggested to be served in a wine glass with a grapefruit slice. I can’t eat or drink grapefruit so we tried without and again this is a lovely and again light and refreshing combination.

You don’t need fancy cocktail shakers, if you don’t have them it’s perfectly fine to mix the drinks in the glasses.
I really like the Damascene Rose bubbly and I could cheerily drink this alone. It would be lovely with strawberries I think.
I like the ethics of the company, they produce on their farm and they treat others, as far as I can see, as they would like to be treated themselves, paying fair prices for the goods they purchase. It’s easy to get behind a company if you like their product and their trading practices. I also like that Luscombe can boast that they create their range of products purely from “organic ingredients. Every drink was – and still is today – entirely free from concentrates, additives, preservatives, colourings, artificial flavourings or enhancers”. They also state that they don’t buy in extracts.
This would make a lovely celebration item to share with a loved one for Valentine’s Day, equally I think it would make an outstanding gift for newly engaged or newly-wed couples to share an intimate celebration together. Or perhaps an anniversary gift. There’s lots of romantic options which this would be suited to.

It all comes safely packaged, nestled in a well padded and sturdy box, you can have confidence it should travel safely and arrive with you in good condition.
