FitFlop Rally Evo Trainers Review

Reviewed by Charlotte Gatehouse

I was in need of some new trainers when the opportunity to review a pair of FitFlop Rally Evo trainers materialised, I put myself forward without hesitation and I’m so pleased I did. I had co-incidentally been looking for a trainer that was mainly white in colour that could see me through the upcoming seasons, that I could wear with jeans and dresses for school runs and traipsing round theme parks amongst many other things.

The FitFlop Rally Evo comes in 5 colour combinations- black, white/coral, white/sage, white/lilac and white/blush. It was a difficult choice but I went with the white/sage as most of my wardrobe is blues and greens.

The trainers arrived quickly and were packaged in a shoebox as you’d expect, all packaging was easily recyclable.

I was really excited for these new trainers to arrive, I have been a loyal FitFlop wearer for years now, in the summer I live in their sandals, I have many pairs after finding that nothing else could offer the same comfort whilst being stylish at the same time. This was however my first time trying a closed shoe from the brand and I am pleased to say I was not disappointed.

The Rally Evo trainer is a classic trainer design, with leather upper. On inspection the materials feel and look great quality as does the stitching and manufacturing, I wouldn’t expect anything less from FitFlop. I love the muted pops of colour on the tongue, heel and sole it makes the style feel fresh and modern.

It’s worth mentioning that my feet are slightly wider than average something that has resulted in a shoe cupboard full of tight unworn footwear, FitFlop sandals have always been accommodating and generous with width so I was hopeful that these are the trainers I have been looking for. I made sure to loosen the laces to allow for extra room and they were a comfortable wear from the offset. Equally I am sure pulling the laces in would support a narrower foot. The inner sole is supportive and moulded so offers good contact with the entire foot. There is good cushioning on walking and the heel holds the foot comfortably without any rubbing.

I have been wearing them since they arrived for the past 5 days without any sign of rubbing or discomfort. It’s fair to say I am delighted with them.

They currently retail at £110 which is not easily affordable for the masses during the current climate but then I think about how much money I have spent on shoes that have been uncomfortable and unworn and I can see that they are a good investment. I know that my other FitFlop sandals stand the test of time and have lasted for years because of the fantastic quality, I am expecting these to be no different.

Overall the FitFlop Rally Evo have really delivered a stylish, comfortable, high quality trainer that I would certainly recommend to anyone in need of updating their current kicks.
