The Snowman Spectacular Fundraising Ball
Chestnut Tree House, in association with friend and Patron, Ryan Briggs, proudly presents the fourth annual Snowman Spectacular Fundraising Ball, on Saturday 3rd December 2011 at the Brighton Hilton Metropole Hotel.
The Snowman Spectacular is the place to be seen this December and provides all the glitz and glamour you need to get your Christmas celebrations under way, whilst raising money for the only children's hospice in Sussex.
Join the amazing magician, Paul Zenon, for an evening of sparkling entertainment, with appearences by Mooky the Clown from Cirque du Soleil and a daring fire performance from Royal Variety performer, Alex Poulter. Plus, there's live music from Funkification, celebrity guests, including Chestnut Tree House Patrons Ben Richards and Julie Graham, the Donatello Christmas Giving Tree for all your festive presents, silent auction and, of course, our spectacular 'Money Can't Buy' auction with some amazing lots up for grabs.
It is a fabulous way to entertain clients, reward your staff, treat yourself or simply get a few friends together and celebrate Christmas in style. Last year, the Snowman Spectacular Ball raised a fantastic £64,000, the equivalent of paying for all the care services at Chestnut Tree House for 10 days, or giving 32 children a three night break at the house, allowing them to enjoy the hydrotherapy pool, relax in the multi-sensory room and join in with a host of activities, whilst mum and dad got the chance to 'recharge their batteries'.
Chestnut Tree House is the only children's hospice in Sussex and provides practical and emotional support, expert advice and dedicated care for local families with children affected by cancer, muscular dystrophy and other life-limiting or life-threatening illnesses.
Every year, the hospice helps hundreds of families to cope with awful sadness and suffering, giving them the support they need to face this most difficult of experiences with courage and confidence. All this care is provided absolutely free of charge. The hospice – and all its services – costs £2.5 million per year to run. Yet, it receives less than 9% government funding, which means that it has to rely heavily on the generosity of the people of Sussex.
So, why not enjoy a night of spectacular entertainment and fundraising in a Christmassy winter wonderland, inspired by Raymond Briggs' enchanting drawings and 'The Snowman' story? Simply visit www.thesnowmanspectacular.org.uk or call the events team on 01903 871 817 to book your place and help your local children's hospice.
