Me and my partner got the opportunity to go and see Dance ‘Til Dawn at the New Victoria Theatre in Woking starring Vincent Simone and Flavia Cacace who are two of the professional dancers on BBC One’s Strictly Come Dancing. I’ve always loved watching their dances on TV so snapped up the chance to see the show.

The story is set in the 1940s in LA and is a classic love story that is full of humour and betrayal and lust that ends up with Vincent’s character in jail and Flavia’s character being heartbroken, not knowing if she’s going to see him again. But he’s been set up so you’re left on tender hooks waiting to see if the truth will come out and will they get a happy ending.

I think the scene in the jail with the policeman when they do their dance routine was my favourite piece. Although I don’t think I can find anything that I didn’t enjoy about this performance. The choreography is breathtakingly stunning with sharp and precise footwork there wasn’t a foot out of place. The costumes were dazzling with vintage Hollywood glamour the whole show from start to finish was brilliant and I couldn’t take my eyes of the stage for a moment. There is also a live band all the way through with the amazing vocals of a man who sings his heart out.

This show is such fun to watch and the performance by the backing dancers is of such high quality and nothing disappoints about the show at all.

This is the first time I’ve been to the New Victoria Theatre in Woking, there was ample parking in the multi-storey carpark just behind the theatre and it isn’t too expensive either. The theatre is amazing and ultramodern and very up-to-date all the facilities were fresh and clean super friendly staff to meet you when you go to pick up your tickets. We sat in the stage seats and got the best view of the performance, we couldn’t grumble at the slightest. I can’t wait to go and see another show at this theatre, I really enjoyed my visit there I would definitely recommend it to anybody.

Rating: 5/5 thumbs_up
