Circa – the Circular Calendar – is an educational toy calendar specifically designed to help children understand the cycles of the calendar using the toy's innovative rotating and circular stacking design. Circa is all about learning through play.

As soon as this item became available on the reviewers site for What’s Good To Do I put my name down straight away as I thought it would be an excellent learning resource for my daughter Kate age 6.

The parcel arrived this morning and both Kate and I got very excited and opened it immediately.

The box is colourful and informative and explained what the Circa actually did.

My daughter can name her days but we haven't yet attempted to teach her months, dates and years so thought this review would be an excellent time to start.

Upon opening the box I found 1 wooden stand, 1 sheet of stickers, 1 user guide, 1 rectangular year block, 3 wooden coloured discs (1 for days, 1 for dates and 1 for months) each slotted together with ease and it looked very smart and fun when mounted on it's stand with the date block.

I liked the fact that you can use the stickers to make the board look extra special and can mark important dates for example a birthday cake sticker would be placed next to the date of your childs birthday.

Kate and I spent a good few hours playing with this calendar and we were over the moon with it, I am pleased to say that Kate thoroughly enjoyed this activity and has even mentioned showing her teachers at her special needs school.

I cannot recommend this Circular Calendar enough and will be telling everyone I know about this as it is a fun and hands on way of learning.

I would also recommend this to schools, crèches, child-minder’s etc. in fact any professional involved with children.

A brilliant product.
