‘More cheese Gromit’. This is an absolute must for any Wallace and Gromit Fan.

Well, how exciting is this and exciting being the operative word as I have built a couple of this brand’s kits before with my grandchildren and was so excited to try out this one. As soon as it arrived, I got on to the telephone to my grandchildren and they came round and that was us set for a good couple of hours.

Firstly, I need to point how how amazed I was to learn that this kit is so environmentally friendly as it is made using 100% sustainable cardboard and paper, making it eco-friendly too. To find out more, just click on this link, https://buildyourownkits.com/about-us/

What makes this kit really awesome is that there is actually a tab at the back which you move side to side and it then walks, how cool is that.

The kit comes with 76 pieces and these are divided up into sections on card. The pieces of card ihas been made easy to use when taking each piece of the board it is placed on.

The mechanics of putting the kit together is easy. No glue is required at all as the pieces just slot together and there is also 2 four page leaflets which shows and gives you illustrative instructions on how to put the kit together.

This makes a great kit to put together with the children, I did this with my 7, 9, 10 & 13 year old grandchildren and they loved it.

It says on the box 60 minutes to build the kit but we took longer, that is because I allowed each of them to take turns. This was great, we were not in a rush and to be honest, it is not about rushing education, it is about having fun whilst learning and they certainly got that.

There is a skill rating on the box too, it says 3 out of 5 stars and as a adult and older teenager, I say that is about right but for the younger children I would say a 4-5 but it is designed for 10 years up.

I love the fact that not only is it fun but it is very educational and supports STEM Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. It is also great for cognitive learning and development such as eye and hand co-ordination.

There is a short video that shows you briefly what it look likes and how it works once it is built. Just take a look at this link, https://youtu.be/N8ytWBOt2Ek

Last but not least, this kit includes the amazing Feathers McGraw, he is very quick and easy to build.
