Brewers Fayre Dalesway Keighley Review

Reviewed by Tracey Stoker
We visited this Brewers Fayre on Saturday with our 4 year old son. He was very excited about the new Dennis the Menace indoor play area, and was hoping to see ‘Gnasher’. He talked the entire journey about whether ‘Dennis’ would be there. My husband on the other hand was just looking forward to the food, having already been on their website looking at the new menu!
This Brewers Fayre has plenty of parking spaces, so even on a busy Saturday, we had no problem parking. On entering the building, we came face to face with ‘Dennis the Menace and Gnasher’. Our little boy was beyond excited and there was plenty of time for a photo or two. We weren’t rushed like some other places. We ordered some drinks and were shown to a lovely table by the window. From the window, our son spotted the outdoor play-area so we headed out to that. There were plenty of benches around the play-area so you could sit and watch your child play. After he had enough of the outdoor area, he wanted to go to the indoor play-area. Bright, light and a huge ‘Dennis’ on the ceiling, the new play area was fantastic. Even though there was a birthday party going on, there was still plenty of seating for the adults. And for the kids, well it had loads. From baby-walkers to a toddler area with giant beanbags and wall Velcro jigsaws. Coupe cars for the little ones who didn’t want to go in the mass of slides, ropes, steps, it really is a good thought out area. Our son who is rather short for his age, managed to get round it all without getting stuck. He was having such a good time, he didn’t want to come out for something to eat.
The food menu is quite varied with something for everyone. My husband went for the Smothered Chicken whilst I fancied the Fish and Chips. Our son decided on ‘The Menace’ burger. The kids menu had plenty of choice and healthy options. And the staff were quite accommodating if you wished to anything about your order. The portion sizes were quite generous, very important fact for my husband and we didn’t wait too long from ordering to being served. All the desserts looked amazing and the three we ordered didn’t disappoint. I like the fact, you can go look at them in a glass cabinet before you decide which one you want. We really couldn’t fault the meals or the service.
The only small issue I could see was that there were only 2 ladies toilets, so we had to queue. This may be a problem with little kids as they often don’t leave enough time to wait.
But other than that, we had a great time and will definitely be visiting Brewers Fayre again in the future.
