This really is an adorable set with cuteness overload! It also makes a lovely gift, especially with Christmas just around the corner, and one that is guaranteed to add to the festive fun. With its charming wooden animals, lovely little details and handy travelling crate, it offers something a little different from the usual toys. It’s the sort of set that encourages little ones to use their imagination, create their own adventures and enjoy hours of play. I can certainly see why children would fall in love with these little characters, and it makes a lovely alternative to the usual plastic toys.
FIRST IMPRESSIONS
My first impression of the Anamalz Hidden Valley Bundle was how lovely and different it looked compared with the usual toys. My grandson was excited to start playing, and it was lovely seeing how much he enjoyed it. I like toys that offer something a little different.
WHAT’S INCLUDED
The bundle includes wooden dinosaur characters with soft plush details and a travelling crate to keep everything together. I think the crate is a lovely addition, making the set feel special and providing somewhere to store everything after playtime. The 4 dinosaurs are Parasaurolophus, Torosaurus, Stegosaurus & T-Rex.
DESIGN AND STYLE
I really like the design of these toys. The wooden bodies and soft details give them a natural look and the characters have plenty of personality, including their bendable limbs make them more interesting for little hands. They have a timeless appearance, making this a set worth having and one that can be passed down through the family.
QUALITY AND DURABILITY
The wooden parts of the toys provide a solid feel, while the plush details add a softer touch. As with any toy, they need to be treated with love and care, particularly the flexible parts, but they seem suitable for regular imaginative play when looked after properly.
EASY SET UP AND IMAGINATIVE PLAY
There is no complicated setup, which is always a bonus. It means children can get straight into playing and making up their own adventures. I love toys that encourage children to use their imagination rather than simply pressing buttons and watching something happen. It was lovely seeing him entertained by creating his own adventures and stories.
ENCOURAGES SOCIAL SKILLS
These toys are also great for playing together. Children can share ideas, take turns and create stories with other children or adults. It’s so lovely to see children get involved in activities that encourage interaction and give them so many opportunities to play together.
DEVELOPMENT BENIFITS
Imaginative play can help children develop creativity, communication and problem-solving skills. Moving the animals around encourages coordination and fine motor skills, particularly hand-eye coordination. I like toys that offer these benefits naturally, without making play feel like a lesson.
EASE OF USE
They are very easy to use. Batteries are not needed, and there are no complicated instructions. Children just simply pick them up and play, making the whole experience fun and enjoyable.
CONVENIENCE AND MAINTENANCE
The travelling crate is very handy for keeping everything together and preventing any of the pieces from getting lost. It is perfect for storing the toys after playtime and taking them along when travelling.
VALUE FOR MONEY
This is not the cheapest toy set, but the unusual design and opportunities for imaginative play make it feel like a special purchase. Given the quality of the figures and how much my grandson enjoyed playing with them, I think the price is even more worthwhile.
