I love marshmallows after toasting them on campfires as a girl guide so I was excited to be sent the Baru marshmallow chocolates and drinking powder. The Baru marshmallow chocolate boxes have a luxurious look about them that instantly sets the mouth watering and biting into the actual chocolate does not disappoint.

They are light and fluffy with a subtle chocolatey taste which doesn’t vary drastically between the milk and dark chocolate varieties, but which is an absolute delight. The fleur de sel variety is out of this world and they all feel like a real treat.

At £3.14 for four small pieces of the milk and dark chocolate marshmallows and £3.47 for four of the fleur de sel, they are not cheap but as an occasional luxury or a gift, they really hit the mark.

The Fluffy Marshmallow Chocolate Drinking Powder was fine, and certainly tasted nice, but it didn’t feel as special as the marshmallow chocolates. £7.40 is a little steep for something that is not much better than the cheaper brands on the market, although the marshmallows were a good addition to the mix.

We would definitely buy the chocolates again, they were very moorish, felt quite decadent and would certainly be a lovely special snack to bring out at Christmas or after a dinner party.
