First impressions of the haircare gift set was that it was quite high end until you see the price, which is really affordable. The set consists of a 60 ml bottle of Rosemary hair oil, a scalp massage brush and a 75ml stick styling wax.

I will start with the Rosemary hair oil, the packaging is simple but elegant and fully recyclable. On opening the bottle you get a beautiful delicate aroma of rosemary, thyme, and a hint of almond it is gorgeous. The lid is a small pipette making it easy to get the correct amount of oil out. According to the instructions you only need 2-4 drops a day to help promote healthy hair and regrowth. My daughter tried the oil for 5 days and it has improved the look of her hair. It looks full and bright, the healing elements of the thyme and rosemary also calmed down the eczema on her head, so an added bonus. The oil does not feel greasy, it’s light and smells lovely. According to BAREROOT web page one bottle should last you approximately one year, if you use 2-3 drops per day, which makes it a fantastic product at a fantastic price. You can purchase separately from their website it’s currently on sale at £7.99 per bottle.

Second is the Scalp massage brush. On first impressions it looks and feels quality. It is a little harder than others that I have used, but it still gives a nice sensation when using it. I love the fact it is made out of ‘Wheat Straw’. I really like the use of alternative ingredients, and the sustainability of the product. The scalp massage brush is a nice shade of pink and the handle also doubles as a hook so it is always on hand and it looks good in your bathroom. Once again it can be purchased separately currently on sale at £7.99 from their website.

Last but by no means least a 75mg the Wax styling stick. Once again simple but effective packaging. The wax stick is encased in a recyclable aluminium tube, which pushes the wax up. The wax itself does not have a strong odour, just a subtle smell of bees’ wax. Having short hair messy pots of wax is a daily pain for me, it is why I love this styling wax stick so much. It’s mess free, non greasy, light weight and lasts all day it is also easy to wash out. The styling wax stick can also be used to tame fly away and frizzy hair. I tested it out on my daughter’s hair, and it does actually work, she liked the feel of the wax, it did not clump her hair together, it was non greasy, and it tamed her hair all day. I like the use of bees’ wax, it’s such a brilliant ingredient to use, as well as styling and taming your hair bees wax can also help protect your hair from drying out, keeping all the natural oils and moisture in your hair. It can also protect your hair from pollutants in the atmosphere. As with the other two products the Styling wax stick is available separately currently on sale at £7.99.

As you can probably tell I love the BAREROOT All – in-one- haircare-gift set. I like the fact that its products are fully sustainable, and that it is a family business. The Haircare gift set would make a lovely mother’s day, Easter, birthday or just because you want to treat yourself gift. It’s a high-end product at affordable prices. It is also vegan friendly so no one misses out. I know the set is currently on sale but even at full price it’s a great gift. For the use of sustainable ingredients and quality of the products, I would rate the Bareroot all-in-one hair care gift set 5/5.
Full retail price is £23.97 however, the All-in-one-haircare gift set is currently on sale at £18.99.
