The item arrived really quickly in a standard postal bag but unfortunately, there was no other kind of protection such as bubble wrap which meant one of the corners of the box, has become slightly damaged in the post. Nevertheless, it doesn’t affect the use and the damage is only minor but if I was giving this as a gift, I would have expected the box to be in perfect condition.

Before I opened the box, I enjoyed looking at all the main features of the camera which were highlighted on the side of the box. On the front, it also makes it clear that there is an Ezviz app which can be downloaded and that makes me eager to install it to find out more.

Inside the box is:
– Camera
– Screw Kit
– Power Cable
– Drill Template
– Power Adapter
– Guide

The camera had a protective film around it and the other extras were all packed well inside another little box. There’s a QR code to scan which then directs you to the User Manual. It’s very detailed and explains well how to set the camera up. I was actually able to set it up myself as the instructions were really easy to follow. It took about 20 minutes overall to set up, but this includes downloading the app, connecting to Wi-Fi,  and reading the manual. The camera just sat on a unit in my kitchen, but if you prefer to have it mounted to a wall/ceiling then I expect that to take a bit longer.

The indoor camera is compatible with iOS (6.0 or later) and also Android (4.0 or later) so this will cover most up to date devices.

I like how lightweight it is and it’s white in colour which is ideal as it will go with any décor. There are several features to this product such as, 85 degrees diagonal field of view, 2 way audio, night vision, motion detection and sleep mode. You can set the app up so that you receive notifications when the camera has detected movement.

If you have children or a pet that you need to keep an eye on then this is the ideal camera for you. The picture quality is fantastic and you don’t need to worry about turning lights on in the dark because of the night vision which works very well.

The only negative I can think of to this product is that it will cost if you would like to record/save the images. You get a free trial for 30 days on the app but then the subscription would cost between £29.99-£99.99 per year depending on how much you want it to record. Alternatively to this, you can buy an SD memory card which can be inserted into the camera which will allow recordings to be saved.

I do think overall, this is great value for money and although it’s currently selling at a reduced price of £21.99, it is well worth the full price of £32.99 because of the many features it has and I believe it is a well-made product.

Rating: 4.5/5

RRP £32.99 (Currently on offer at £21.99)
