Balmonds Daily Moisturing Cream Review

Balmonds is a company who put all their emphasis on locally sourced natural ingredients, there products are especially suitable for anyone with sensitive skin or prone to eczema.  The company was started in an English kitchen and is now on a mission to help people all over the world find a product for their sensitive skin.  The ingredients are organic and locally sourced whenever possible and they only use ingredients that are needed to make the product effective.

This cream is in a very handy pump action dispenser making it very easy to dispense, they have taken the basic recipe for their hero product “skin salvation” and replaced the beeswax with Shea butter this has made a softer product that is absorbed into the skin a bit quicker, the first place I used it was on my legs as this is the place I get dry flaky skin, after the first application my skin was soft and moisturised and even at the end of the day it still felt beautifully moisturised, it was so smooth and soothing to apply, although it was absorbed well and wasn’t sticky all day I felt like there was a lovely moisturising film on my legs.

The product is suitable for use on body, face, hands and feet and can be used as often as needed. I found it a bit too heavy for my face but sure it would be good if you had very dry skin.  I’ve also used in on my feet and it was great to soften all the hard skin and cuticles,  I applied quite a lot then put some socks on, left it overnight and in the morning my feet were lovely and soft, I think this will become a weekly ritual for me especially in the summer when my feet are more on show in sandals.

As Balmonds products are so natural they can be used on babies over the age of 6 weeks, babies skin is so delicate it is difficult to find a product you can trust for dry sensitive skin, if you sign up to their parents newsletter they will give you lots of advice, tips and expert advice on how to care for your babies skin.  There are no added perfumes so you may find the smell a bit unusual it contains hemp so that could be what you smell, it’s difficult to explain it, the best I can come up with a cross between grass and straw, it’s not unpleasant and very gender neutral .

If you are planning a holiday in the great outdoors this year ,camping or caravanning this would be a good product to slip into your packing and won’t take up a lot of room, being exposed to the elements for longer then your used to can have a drying effect on your skin.  The good thing is it can be used on all the family even on your pets.
