M Kitchen Mini Indian Snack Selection 8 pack, 165g £1.29
Morrisons Chenin Blanc 75cl £4.49

It was one of those days I really didn’t fancy cooking but wanted a snuggled night with the other half so when Morrisons delivered (delivery not available in all areas yet, click here to see if delivery is available on your street) the above to my door it made my day.

We started with the Indian snack collection, this was well wrapped and had easy cooking instruction we cooked ours in the oven they took about 20 minutes. We served then with some sauces we had in the fridge. They were really tasty and well prepared. The pack contains vegetable samosas and onion bhajis. My only criticism would be that they don’t come with any dips.

The main course was the Chicken Korma and Chicken Tikka Masala meal for two. The pack contains curries, rice, naan bread and onion bhajis. The curry is in packaging with the rice and you heat together, we popped ours in the microwave and it took about 5 minutes to cook in total. The onion Bhajis we cooked with our starter and we placed the naan in the over to warm through. The curry was really tasty, both had plenty of chicken and bags of flavour to them, not what I expected from a packet meal so was really pleased and ate everything. It was much tastier than I would have expected for the price.

We washed the meal down with some Morrisons Chenin Blanc wine, a nice fresh and fruity white wine. It complimented the food really well and enhanced the flavours of the food. It wasn’t an over powering wine and didn’t leave any bitter aftertaste some wines can leave. For the price I was really happy with this and would certainly purchase another bottle to go with a meal.

Overall I really enjoyed the meal, it was very reasonably priced and the flavours were excellent, definitely not what you expect from a ready meal. I will certainly be going to my local Morrisons now to try other meal in the M Kitchen range especially after trying these and be surprised by the quality of the flavours and taste.

The M Kitchen range has three Indian  meals for two to try:

Madras and Tikka Masala
Korma and Tikka Masala
Jalfrezi and Tikka Masala

They also do Italian, Chinese, Tex Mex and others for you to try. There is a whole range of ready meals, starters and accompaniments to choose from.

I will definitely be trying things from there other ranges and hope the taste and quality live up to that of the curry we have just eaten.

Rating: 4/5
