For anyone who knows, travelling with young children can be both challenging and full of adventure. The challenge for us adults is making sure we create the right sleeping environment for little ones when away from the comfort of their own home and bed.
Bring in the SlumberPod Blackout Sleep Tent, which is an absolute game-changer! It is portable and gives any baby or toddler that dark, cosy space, no matter where you are, even if you are a keen camper.
It comes in a really neat and sturdy travel bag and is surprisingly lightweight and very easy to carry. All this combined makes it perfect for travelling on holidays, weekends away or even if you are just visiting friends or family. Once you have unpacked it, it unfolds very easily and quickly and fits very well over most standard travel cots, cots, blow-up beds and similar sleep spaces. It creates privacy too.
The design is simple yet highly effective.
The blackout effect is of course one of the main selling points for me along with the quality of the fabric too. The fabric is thick enough to blackout almost all of the light. Ventilation is also paramount. The SlumberPod has been very well thought out when it comes to this and has been designed with breathable fabric mesh panels to ensure little ones get the best when it comes to really good airflow.
Another creative concept is the pocket where a small fan can be placed. It can help to circulate air more and keep inside cooler during those warmer evenings.
Another genius idea is the additional pocket for a baby monitor. It can be easily slotted inside where you can have the lens facing the inside of the tent. It gives you that extra peace of mind and security that you can check in on the little one without disturbing them. Along with the points already mentioned, this is another strong feature.
Assembly is straightforward. It is a tent-style structure that pops up and is supported by flexible poles, very similar to a compact tent. It takes just a few minutes to set up and, voilà, it’s ready. The same applies when you’re ready to pack it away. Having the carry case makes it very easy to travel with and it is slim enough to pack in a suitcase. It does not take up too much room, so it can fit nicely and easily in the back of the boot.
The fabric and poles look and feel like they have been built to last. The stitching is impeccable and very strong. After unfolding and folding multiple times, there was no indication of wear, tear or strain. Suitable for 6 months and upwards.
