What a lovely gift pack this is. It consists of a tambourine, a maraca, a castanet and a recorder. All plastic but solidly made. A French/English CD accompanies the instruments. The pack itself is clear plastic and would become a handy carrier/storage for the instruments.

My 3 year old granddaughter loves music and has been attending a music based class for two years. She was thrilled to have her own instruments especially the orange recorder which she blew enthusiastically for most of the day after it arrived. Her mother is hoping that it will be an introduction to reading music and playing the recorder properly.

It’s great to hear our favourite nursery rhymes in a different language. Her mother has been trying to learn the French words to Heads, Shoulders, Knees and Toes herself so that she can sing along. My granddaughter has just started preschool which includes a weekly French class so I am sure this will come in handy there – as well as in France where her other grandparents now live. After only a few days of owning it she now asks for the “French music” when she gets in the car.

This would make a great gift for toddlers and I am seriously considering buying another pack for my other granddaughter who lives in Canada. The French language is much encouraged there and I am sure that at her age of two and a half she would love it too. My only consideration would be the cost of the postage.
