Arran Of Scotland Glen Iorsa Lavender And Spearmint Hand Care Gift Set Review

This gift set comprises of 300 ml hand wash and a 300 ml hand cream both in clear plastic pump action dispensers with a wood effect collar between the top of the bottle and the grey pump dispenser.  They have a very contemporary style and would look good in any modern bathroom/cloakroom.  These are the kind of products you want to keep on display and not shut away in a bathroom cabinet.

A Lavender fragrance can often be associated with old ladies but not this one.  Blending it with spearmint has really updated the smell.  There has also been geranium, sage and patchouli added which all come together to make it a beautiful fresh, clean smell. Lavender is also renowned for it’s relaxing qualities and can help with sleeping.

Founded in 1989 “The Arran” company draw inspiration from nature and this is very apparent in these products.  All products are made on the Isle of Arran and Glen Iorsa is a remote glen on the Island ,they are very proud of their connection with nature and the Isle of Arran.  The smell brings to my mind walking through fields of Scottish heather, in the fresh sea air.  It’s a very natural smell and will enhance any home.

I have been lucky enough to visit the Isle of Arran and it is the most beautiful place, a miniature Scotland on one island.   If you can’t get a visit these products are the next best thing.

The hand wash lathers well and leaves hands smelling lovely.  The hand cream is absorbed quickly and hands feel soft and velvety.  There is no greasiness at all and it leaves another layer of that beautiful fragrance.  Both bottles come packed together in a stylish, sturdy box which has a map of the Isle of Arran drawn on it and a sleeve with a photo of lavender growing in the wild.  Although it’s fully recyclable, this is one of those boxes you can not bring yourself to throw away and I’m sure you’ll find another use for it .
