Defacto Regular Fit Long Sleeve Hooded Parka – Yellow Review
THIS ITEM WAS GIFTED TO THE REVIEWER FOR THE PURPOSES OF WRITING THE REVIEW. ALL THOUGHTS AND OPINIONS ARE THE REVIEWER'S OWN.

We were fortunate to be chosen to review this very lovely and very warm children’s parka coat. The perfect addition to any Winter wardrobe.
The coat is listed as part of the Defacto Fit Sports range. It’s photographed with a young boy wearing it but my friend’s daughter couldn’t wait to get her hands on it so I would suggest its more unisex. The item we are reviewing is aged 11/12 years in a bright canary yellow.
This coat is like wearing a hug! It’s a lovely item, perfect for Winter walks, cold school runs or playing around in the snow. The Parka length is perfect. It comes down past the hips to a mid-calf length so keeps them lovely warm on wintery wet days and stops snow going up their back when doing snow angels! The fit is perfect for the size we reviewed, both across the shoulders and sleeve length.
The Parka is lusciously thick and completely lined in a black fur inner for extra warmth. Its also very stylish. The overall colour way is a bright yellow but, on the front, imprinted vertically on the right hand chest area you can find the words ‘NO LIMIT’ in a black chunky modern font. Down both sleeves on the outer edge there is a black tape from the hood seam, down the shoulders all the way to the cuff with the words repeated ‘SNOWBOARDING XTREME’ in a contrasting white – a really cool touch.

The snuggly black lining runs into the hood too. The hood is permanently attached to the jacket but there is also a detachable fur trim. It is attached by a line of five heavy duty press studs. We think that the coat looks just as cool with or without the fur trimming but my friend’s daughter preferred it attached; she said it reminded her of East 17!
The Parka has three pockets on the front that are fully closable with a heavy black chunky zip. One pocket breast height and the other two are hip height on either side. The pockets are fully enclosed in the waterproof material.
The entire jacket is fastened by a heavy-duty black zip running up the front, all the way to the chin. It really hugs in close to stop the wind getting through, and when up fully stops the hood falling down keeping head, ears and neck warm.
This Parka is such fabulous quality and a very reasonable price. I really can’t fault this garment at all. It has all the warmth and practical elements you would expect from a good quality Winter Parka but added to that its very fashionable and as mentioned, I would suggest it is perfect for a boy or a girl.
The jacket we reviewed is in Yellow but on the website is also available in black with all the same finishes and details. is available online in a range of sizes from pre-school to young teen (age 3/4 years to age 14 years+):
