Onbuy Sienna Oversized Plush Blanket Hoodie Review

The definition of comfy clothing, the Sienna Oversized Blanket Hoodie is the perfect Christmas gift for the snuggle-loving ladies and teens in your life.  I am a self-confessed blanket addict and adore anything soft and fluffy, so I was excited to try this blanket / hoodie combination.

The outer layer is made from a microfibre fleece, while the inside is lined with Sherpa fleece, which mimics sheepskin. Both fabrics make the hoodie wonderfully warm and soft to the touch, but also have the advantage of being easy to care for (the hoodie is machine washable at 30 degrees).

Now let’s talk size. They call the hoodie ‘oversized’ and it certainly lives up to that description. I’m reasonably tall at 5’6” and the hoodie comes down to just above my knees. I could probably fit at least three of me inside the roomy body, which is great because it means there’s plenty of room to curl up and tuck my knees inside.

The seller says that one size fits all, and I can confirm that one of my very tall male friends also fitted with room to spare. Younger children may end up being swamped, but I’d recommend this for teenagers and above. For those looking for specific measurements, they’re as follows: 72″ Waist, 34″ Body, 36″ Arms.

The hoodie has elasticated cuffs to help avoid dangling sleeves getting in your way. That means you’ll be able to reach for that hot chocolate while curled up on the sofa, without having to worry about your sleeves getting covered in your drink.

I also love that the hoodie offers a huge front pocket. As we move towards winter, my wardrobe inevitably starts to incorporate more leggings and pyjamas, many of which don’t come with pockets, so being able to slip my phone into the hoodie’s pouch is very handy. The Sherpa fleece lining also continues on the inside of the pocket (as well as inside the hood), so it’s cosy for tucking your hands into.

The hoodie is available in three different colours – blush pink, charcoal grey and silver grey. I received the silver grey version, but all three colours look lovely and give you a good range to choose from, to ensure it’s that perfect gift.

We’ve been trying to cut down on the amount of time we have our heating on, so this is a great way to keep warm and toasty. There’s plenty of room to add extra layers underneath, but it also does a wonderful job of keeping you warm all by itself.

My only slight gripe is that the hoodie left some pieces of fluff on my duvet cover when I first unpacked it and pulled it on. But after the initial wear, I haven’t noticed this again.

All in all, I’d recommend the Sienna Oversized Plush Blanket Hoodie. But be warned – it’s so snuggly that if you give it as a Christmas gift, you may find it hard to get them out of it before the New Year!
