Arran Review

When I was asked to choose something from Arran Sense of Scotland website to order I had no idea what they sold.  I thought it could be Shortbread Biscuits. How wrong could I have been. 

There is so much to choose from on their website, but first I wanted to read about the company.  I was very impressed that while the rest of us were struggling to find soap at the start of lock down, Arran Sense of Scotland made sure the Residents of Arran all had soap.  They supplied local schools and nurseries with soap for pupils and staff!! In addition to this they issued every single member of their own staff with hand care packs which they could share with their families! 

Back to my order, first I had to sign up so I could obtain a 20% discount code for my first order.  There was so much to choose from, but after looking through their site I decided I would order a bath and shower gel plus a hydrating hand cream.  My hands have been so dry since I have been washing them more often and singing Happy Birthday to myself whilst doing so.  Now to choose which scent!

After the Rain caught my eye for the Bath and Shower Gel, the blurb said it was lime, rose and sandalwood, it sounded like it would be nice and fresh.  I thought it would be sensible and stay with the same perfume for the hydrating hand cream.

Whilst ordering I kept watching out for an email to arrive with the 20% discount code,but it never came.  Instead I spotted a 10% discount code which popped up, so I used that as I thought it would be better than nothing.  I had to pay for delivery as my order was less than £40.  Once I had placed the order, I received my email confirmation followed by an email with my 20% discount code for my first order!!  I decided to contact Arran to let them know I had placed my order with a 10% discount code as the 20% code only arrived after the confirmation email.  Almost immediately someone responded and apologised, then credited my card with the difference between 10% and 20%.

The parcel arrived in a small box and was very well packed.  There was definitely no danger of the items being damaged in transit.  The clear bottle contains 300ml or 10.1fl.oz of the bath and shower gel and has an attractive wood effect top which you press to open and close.  The Hydrating Hand Cream is in a tube containing 40ml and a small amount was immediately absorbed by my dry hands.  The perfume for the hand cream is not too strong, personally I think it is very refreshing.  I keep having just one more sniff of my hands whilst typing this review, I love it!  The bath and shower gel I didn’t feel had quite as strong a perfume as the hand cream and I was disappointed that the fragrance did not seem to remain on my skin for very long once out of the bath.

There are lots of different items on their website to choose from, they even cater for men!!

I would recommend Arran Sense of Scotland for their products, especially the helpful member of staff who sorted out the discount for me.
