Scruff-A-Luvs Review

We waited patiently for the delivery of our rescue, not knowing which Scruff-A-Luv we were going to get. She finally arrived. The delivery man knocked on our door with our parcel. Inside the box was a mystery pet just waiting for us to rescue it! These adorable little abandoned pets need your love and your help. The Scruff-A-Luv’s arrive as a sad ball of matted fur, but once you bathe them, dry them, brush them and love them, you will discover what kind of fantastically cute pet they really are and reveal their true beauty! YOU could find a cat, dog or llama? We rescued a rainbow coloured cat christened “lollipop”. Every Scruff-A-Luv comes with their own cute coloured collar and matching tag so you can name them and an adoption certificate which my little girl very quickly completed and just like that, Lollipop became a permanent family member. 

Next came the fun of washing our new rescue pet. These pets are easily washed in water by hand, and if you can’t wait for your rescue per to dry, the accompanying leaflet advises you that these toys are suitable for a short spin cycle in the washing machine. The toy comes with an easy to follow, step-by-step instruction leaflet so that there aren’t any problems when you are washing and drying your pet. The Scruff-A-Luvs do have a PVA like substance to give them their scruffy look but should not smell like chemicals and further, the key to it coming out as great as it looks on the front cover of the box, is a long bath with soap (or shampoo and conditioner) and rinsing it very well in fresh, clean water. I blow dried ours with the hair dryer on medium heat (although this can take very long and will definitely be using the spin cycle on future purchases) and gave her a good brushing after drying. It’s like bathing, drying and brushing a real pet! I highly recommend and am already planning a future purchase of a pink one. Be sure your child takes the time to enjoy the whole process and the results should be great! This toy makes a fabulous present for birthdays, Christmas or just because; the excitement of finding out which gorgeous little pet you have received is incredibly exciting and my child loved the entire experience. There are so many different Scruff-a-Luvs to collect from babies, to families, from cats and dogs to penguins and polar bears – so why not collect them all and start adopting today? My little girl now has four of these – a cat and a penguin and two babies (who come in their own little pet carriers) and all four sleep with her at night.
