Fuzzikins Fuzzi Street Pizzeria Review

Reviewed by Louise Totton
We were recently fortunate enough to have been able to try out the Fuzzi School Playset from Fuzzikins, a lovely toy that combines imaginative play with creative design, which both of my girls thought great so we were delighted when we were asked to try out a second Fuzzi product! This time, it was from Fuzzikins’ Fuzzi Street range – a selection of slightly smaller playsets which offer even more opportunity for kids to get designing and colouring in, and creating their own little worlds. This range includes an ice-cream parlour and a post office as well as the pizzeria that we were sent to try out.
The Fuzzi Street range each includes one Fuzzi character along with a plastic accessory and a cardboard, pop-up building as well as a selection of stickers and three washable pens for colouring both the Fuzzi character and cardboard accessories. Contained in the Pizzeria set is:
- Fuzzikins mouse figure
- Card pizzeria
- Chef’s hat and apron
- Plastic pizza oven and paddle
- 1 x sticker sheet
- 3 x washable pens
- Card and paper accessories
- Instructions

The pizzeria building pops up really easily. The card is quite strong and doesn’t feel flimsy, so I think it will last quite well. The outside isn’t coloured in, but does have black line drawing details on there, so the kids could colour it in easily, and they were really pleased with the results. We coloured it in whilst it was still flat, then then popped it up, which is far easier than trying to colour it in when its upright! The inside is fully decorated already, and the kids really liked the flowery wallpaper and cosy interior.
The pizzeria has working doors as well as a carry handle incorporated into the design, making it perfect for the kids to take with them on Christmas outings to see friends and family. It has a base (it folds up rather like a Happy Meal carton), so the pens, stickers, character and pizza oven can be kept inside it.
As well as colouring in the pizzeria, just like all Fuzzikins sets, the figure can be coloured in with the included pens, and it is fully washable under running water so it can be designed, cleaned up and re-designed whenever the creative feeling strikes. The set also includes some stickers for decorating your pizzeria, a number of pizzas and plates and a menu board to colour in and accessorise the playset with. It would be nice if they came with more coloured pens, or slightly bigger ones as I’m not sure how long the three small pens that are included will last, but nevertheless I’m sure the kids will get plenty of use out of it.
The girls have had great fun with this set and have been using it with the school playset that we already had. It is lovely to see playsets that aren’t completely full of plastic yet are still pretty sturdy and robust. At £9.99, these sets are good value and make a lovely Christmas gift idea if you are looking for something both artistically and imaginatively creative. I also think they make a super gift idea for if you like to buy something for your kids’ friends – I tend to try to find ideas for under a tenner for this, and these fit the bill perfectly for that, or for a stocking filler for your own kids.
