Play at Brewers Fayre Coach House Manchester Review

Reviewed by Debbie Talbot

I was delighted to be invited to attend the opening of the new look play area at Brewers Fayre Coach House at the Trafford Centre in Manchester, so please bear in mind that this was an event not a regular visit.

We had no trouble finding a parking space in the free car park outside. We were then greeted by lovely members of staff and shown to the play area. The first thing I noticed was that they had made much better use of space  there were plenty of tables to sit at inside the play area room itself. Before there used to be just a few tables. Having 2½ year old twins, the toddler area is a big pull at any play centre. Whilst the toddler area is not massive, it looks great now with a slide. My twins thoroughly enjoyed playing and made use of the whole play structure. One of my twins had a nice ride in a Little Tikes Cosy Coupe and was beaming from ear to ear.

Both of my boys were delighted to see Dennis the Menace arrive with Gnasher in tow.

I used the toilet facilities when at the venue and found them conveniently situated close to the play area part of the restaurant. They were clean, tidy and well stocked with toilet paper.

The Den, which had a fabulous flat screen television, had lots of activities laid on for the children and the face painter was amazing.

Lunch was served at midday. My 9 year old daughter came to join us for lunch. All of the children in my party had popin’ chicken, chips and beans. There was plenty to choose from with children’s meal starting from £3.99. I opted for smothered chicken which was just amazing and so tasty. The other adult in our party had fish and chips which he thoroughly enjoyed. After another quick play, we headed home.

That evening I had 2 very sleepy toddlers.

Overall, it’s a lovely place to eat out as a family and the play area is a huge pull. No more trying to amuse bored children while waiting for food. We would return again and would recommend to everyone. The food is great quality, staff cannot do enough to help and the prices are very reasonable.

Rating: 5/5
