We attended the world premiere of this outstanding show on 14 February at The Lowry in Manchester. Touring till the 27th March.
The double bill features newly commissioned work by acclaimed choreographic duo Goddard Nixon. This piece is Eden a powerful and poetic exploration of the internal world, with a score by John Matthias.
Kevin Edward Turner and Anthony Missen present their new creation Pictures We Make for the second part of the show. Spanish musician and composer Miguel Marin composes the score.
My mum and I went along with open minds as to what to expect, what we got was a fantastic show featuring 4 very talented dancers Anthony Missen, Kevin Edward Turner, Jonathan Goddard and Gemma Nixon. All were exceptional performers and we thoroughly enjoyed the evening.
Exploring relationships through the emotion of dance we are taken on a rollercoaster ride. Both pieces grab you and pull you into a world of hurt, love, laughter, sadness – all through the power of dance and an exceptional soundtrack. With excellent lighting and smoky effects each scene is creative and captivating.
A very enjoyable evening.
