The Emily Trilogy by Ashley McCook Review

Reviewed by Louisa Nashir
Recently I purchased a Kindle as paperbacks were beginning to take over my house a little so I was delighted when I was chosen to review the Demon’s Daughter, Demon’s Revenge and Demon’s Blood, the Emily Trilogy by Ashley McCook eBooks (they are also available as paperbacks).
Each book is linked to the others so can be read very easily without forgetting what you have previously read in the other books.
The storyline is gripping, a little edge of seat and will have you hooked within minutes!!!
I won’t give too much away about the storyline but from the books titles I am sure you will soon grasp the idea of what the books are about. I highly recommend that you buy these terrific books as soon as possible and enjoy!
The books main character is Emily Carson who has had a pretty normalish upbringing along with her twin brother Seth. Emily is the school geek whereas Seth is a bit cooler than Emily which is quite clear to see in places.
One day the twin’s mother tells them both that they were actually fathered by a demon named Asmodeus and he wants to be a part of their life and get to know them.
Emily and Seth meet their father but have no real idea how evil and nasty he can be and it’s only a matter of time before they get drawn into his evil plan.
As with any supernatural book there are the usual cast of vampires and werewolves which I like in a story and the author has made this bunch of them stand out even more by making them sound edgier and more terrifying from the likes of others currently on the market.
As the story continues you discover just how strong Emily is and how much she is willing to risk to save her family, you actually find yourself cheering her on in places as her character is so loveable!
I can honestly say I enjoyed this trilogy and will be looking for the authors other books as the books are cleverly written and extremely easy to digest.
A huge thumbs up from this happy reviewer.
