Having reviewed and loved the concept of Casdon’s quality toys, I couldn’t wait to receive this and put it to use with my 4-year-old granddaughter. Her play kitchen area is set up perfectly for all the role play a kitchen can offer, and I knew this would make a great addition to her kitchen. Casdon always creates toys that have many cognitive and developmental benefits, which you’ll see referred to below.
As always, the attention to detail is very impressive, and the bold, bright, and cheerful colours and designs are really eye-catching, perfect for getting little ones’ attention. Anyone looking for ideas for gifts, this set is perfect.
I particularly love how the labels are exactly the same as the real thing, from ‘ESTd̲. 1869’ to the list of nutritional values, ingredients, and instructions on how to cook. This is a great way to encourage their reading skills.
Setting up is very easy. There are stickers to place on the sides of the takeaway box and lining paper to put inside on the bottom of it. There is also a sticker to put on the vinegar bottle. Put the fish and chips in the box and by the side, place the accessories, that’s it, it really is that simple to set up and you’re ready to go.
The imaginative play is lovely. Whether you’re role-playing by making dinner at home or eating out at a restaurant, this play set really does get the little ones’ imagination going. This encourages role-play, creativity, and storytelling, all of which help build confidence and fun. We even used some of the items for her shop, making it a great play set for different role-plays.
Each piece has been well thought of and designed for little hands. Not too big and realistic enough for the little ones. The compact size of each item is perfect for storing when not in use. All this works exceptionally well for the little one’s motor skills and hand-eye co-ordination.
This is a lovely set for encouraging solo play and works brilliantly when little ones are playing with you or their friends. It teaches teamwork, co-operation, taking turns, interaction, and communication. These help children build patience, empathy, and social interactions, all of which contribute towards learning and developing emotional regulation in a playful and imaginative way.
Top quality as always from Casdon and the materials of each item are strong, sturdy and robust, even when dropped. There are no rough edges to any of them and the art and paintwork are perfect. All this contributes to the fun and interactive play that is safe and withstands long-term use.

A great addition for the littles ones, whether they have their own kitchen or you want to introduce role-play when you’re cooking or just some fun and interactive play. All this helps with imaginative and interactive play along with helping and creating motor skills and cognitive development.
