The Wasgij puzzle that I am reviewing is the 1000 piece ‘Destiny’ puzzle no.14 called ‘How Times Have Changed’. Unlike other jigsaws where you are just recreating the image from the front of the box, the idea with this puzzle is to create an image that is based on the box image. The image on the front of the box is a scene from the past of a town with bikes, cars, shops and people and what you are trying to do is to create the modern day version of this scene. A lot of the things stay in the same place however they have been changed with the passage of time. For example what has the fish and chip shop turned into now? Is the 50’s biker still on his bike? Has the car been updated? etc… There were a lot of changes that we thought were quite funny.

The puzzle took my husband and I two evenings to finish and altogether I would say we spent around 6 hours each (12 hours total) doing it. It was nicely challenging without the element of impossibility that some jigsaws have and definitely had the ‘let’s just do a couple more pieces before we finish’ element!

The jigsaw came in a plastic wrapped box with the pieces in a separate bag so we could be sure that there were no pieces missing before we started. As with all Wasgij jigsaw puzzles, the pieces are made from thick good quality card so the pieces fit together well so you can be sure when you have found two pieces that fit together that it is the correct match. We also found they don’t become dog eared and frayed.

For the hours of entertainment that we had from the puzzle I would say that the puzzle is good value for money and I will certainly be likely to pick up another in the near future.
