The Printed Peanut Christmas Tree Advent Calendar Review

Reviewed by Louise Edwards

The Printed Peanut Christmas Tree Advent Calendar arrived beautifully packaged in a hard cardboard envelope and had a personally signed card from the artist Louise, which I thought was a lovely touch. It is printed on to FSC approved card in the UK.

Do you remember the days when advent calendars were about opening a window to reveal a picture? Well, this calendar is just this – it has a retro feel to it, yet with a modern twist. If you are a fan of contemporary illustrations, you will love this advent calendar which is stylish and modern and has a rustic feel to it at the same time.

The calendar is printed with a simple Christmas tree, surrounded by a border, and there are “windows” to open for the 24 days of December leading up to the very special Christmas Day. The windows on the tree open up a surprise mix-up of illustrated Christmas tree decorations, all delightful, surprising and unique. There are also windows under the tree and in the “sky” around the tree. It is all very delightful!

The calendar has a red ribbon attached to it, so you can hang up your calendar, making it a fun and quirky Christmas decoration that is bound to bring lots of joy. You could bring this calendar out every Christmas and it would not date with its timeless creativity.

The Printed Peanut was founded in 2012 by Louise Lockhart when she began screen printing her own wrapping paper and created her own version of the party game Pass the Parcel. Louise is based in West Yorkshire and produces illustrated traditional toys and games with a creative twist.
