Yankee Candle Wreath Advent Calendar Review

My teenage daughter has been a huge fan of Yankee Candles for many years. She has amassed a huge collection of candles in her bedroom and has been known to light one, or several, in order to have a relaxing bath. If a new candle comes out, she begs her dad to buy her it. This classic Wreath Advent Calendar was therefore perfect for her. It arrived in good time which is always a good thing where an excited teenager is concerned. It was in perfect condition and she could not wait to open it, which she had to do so that I could write about it.
What struck me first of all was how stunning, yet simple, the design of the wreath was. The colour choices work perfectly. The calendar itself contains 8 different types of tea light candles as follows:
- 3x Pomegranate Gin Fizz
- 3x Candlelit Cabin
- 3x Evergreen Mist
- 3x After Sledding
- 3x Cinnamon Stick
- 3x Christmas Cookie
- 3x Snowflake Cookie
- 3x Christmas Magic
As well as the 24 tea light candles the advent calendar contains a clear glass tea light holder. All of the products inside the advent calendar are so well made. The candles are clearly excellent quality and the tea lights feel like a substantial treat each day. My daughter has enjoyed lighting the candles at the end of a hard day. I think that Yankee Candle have got the balance of different types of candle just right. Advent calendars can be a bit boring when there are too many of the same item inside. My daughter’s favourite is Candlelit Cabin. She thinks it smells divine. My personal favourite is Christmas Cookie. This calendar has brought a real Christmas feel and excitement for Christmas into our household. I think that a Yankee Candle calendar is permanently on my daughter’s Christmas list now having experienced that rather than her normal chocolate advent calendar this year.
Yankee Candles are a really important part of our family Christmas. My mum has quite the collection herself. I thought I would have a look at their website for some Christmas gift inspiration. Their Christmas gifts section looks amazing with so much choice. On my own wish list is their 4 votive candle gift set priced at £7.49. This would make an excellent Secret Santa or other gift. The other item I have my eye on is this Tea Light Delight Gift Set. One thing you can say about Yankee Candles are that they ooze quality, no matter which product it is.
To summarise, this calendar has made my daughter’s Christmas dreams come true. It turned out that she has been hoping for a Yankee Candle advent calendar for a few years. I think that anyone would be delighted to have this as their 2019 advent calendar.
The RRP is £24.99 but it is currently on sale for £17.49 at the time of writing this review.
