The beginning of a new year or the beginning of spring is the perfect time to declutter the home and give every room a ‘spring clean’. Receiving the Fabulosa bundle of cleaning products (disinfectants, bin bags, room spray and candles) was a wonderful incentive for me to dig out the rubber gloves, bucket and cleaning cloths!

The first products I tested were the disinfectants and I was lucky to have three different disinfectants to trial, all with different scents.

Two of the Fabulosa disinfectants came in plastic bottles containing 220ml of concentrated product. Both disinfectants claim to kill 99.9% of germs and viruses which was reassuring to read on the packaging. The disinfectants had different scents; I received ‘Pink is Life’ and ‘Ozonic’. ‘Pink is Life’ was indeed pink in colour and had a sweet aroma with hints of florals and strawberry bubblegum. ‘Ozonic’ was green in colour and had a fresh scent with herbal accents. Both products performed well when it came to disinfecting areas such as floors and the toilet. My preference was for the Ozonic fragranced disinfectant if I had to choose between these two products as I preferred the scent.

The third disinfectant I received in the Fabulosa bundle was labelled as a ‘luxury concentrated disinfectant’ and was packaged in a plastic bottle inside a cardboard box. The bottle itself contained 500 ml of product. The disinfectant was a similar colour to ‘Ozonic’ but this scent was called ‘Bramble Harvest’ and this name was perfect as the disinfectant did indeed have an autumnal scent with accents of berries, particularly blackberries, and a hint of apple. This disinfectant was satisfying to use as it left a pleasant scent without any residue and was my favourite of the three disinfectants.

The next product tested were the bin bags. The blue 50 litre bags, made from 30% recycled plastic and complete with a drawstring tie, came packaged in a bag of ten. The scent of these bags was ‘Fresh Breeze’. I initially found the scent of the bag a little overpowering but once it settled in the environment, I could understand the advantage of a scented bin bag, especially after cooking fish! The bags were a little thinner than I usually purchase but they did not break when I changed the bin.

The room spray I received was the ‘Cheeky Riley’ room spray. It was packaged in a 300ml aerosol can with a push-down spray lid. I must admit that I do not ordinarily use room sprays and although the fresh, herbal scent was not unpleasant, I would prefer candles or an open window to freshen a room.

Lastly, when all the cleaning was completed, I lit some of the tea lights. The fragrance received of the tea lights was called ‘Opulence’ and although they had a strong cold throw fragrance, when lit, the scent was very mild. However, for a pack of eighteen for £1.99, I do consider the value to be good, especially as each tea light had a burn time of 6 hours.

In conclusion, if you like fragranced cleaning products, the Fabulosa range is for you. The website shows lots of different fragrances to choose from, so I imagine there a scent for everyone! The price point of the products is very appealing and with delivery free over £15 on the website, you could stock up on your products for the year!
