What a marvellous invention of a toy, so much to learn and interactive with that suits both baby and toddler.
I gave this to my 6 month old grandson who decided at that he would throw them and discovered they made noises. As with many of the Tomy toys, there is so much for any and toddler to interact with and sensory perspective that they will have lots to learn and discover from playing with this toy.
It’s a very simple and easy toy to play with and most certainly entertained my grandson for a long time. Each of the eggs have a different shape at the bottom o it and encourages any child playing with them; to fit the egg into the right shape of the egg box.
Each egg comes apart to reveal a cheeping cute little chick, this is so cute and my grandson got the giggles when he heard them. There are different colours for each of the chicks and they all make the awesome squeaky noise when pressed or pushed.
The colours are bright, vibrant and bold which is great for sensory play and as baby gets older, it will be a great way for them to learn their colours. They come in the following colours:-
On each of the eggs, there are also number, ranging from 1-6, again, a great way to introduce the learning of numbers to baby as they get older.
All the eggs fit together, they can all be stacked together and they can all tumble down, such fun and laughs were had playing with my grandson with this.
Each egg is made to fit a particular egg cup, again, sensory work which help baby and toddler to learn whilst playing, interacting and having fun.
Each brightly coloured egg also has an adorably cute facial expression, pull these faces with baby and toddler and watch them laugh. As baby and toddler grow, keep doing the facial expressions and what them copy you, even Mum and Dad joined in, not sure who had the most laughs, the adults or my grandson lol.
You can match the egg top with the matching colour base or mix and match. It doesn’t matter how you put them together, the combinations are fun, interactive and most certainly will help to teach baby and toddler as they gradually grow.
My granddaughter also got in on the action and loved it, she’s 4 and what I absolutely loved about this was the fact that she interacted with her brother to help, show and play with him. Whilst its says it is suitable from 6-36 months, my granddaughter loved it too.
Another bonus to these… I used the bases to put boiled eggs in them. My grandchildren loved boiled eggs and this just made them more fun to eat and learn at the same time.
As with any toy that comes with loose parts, you will need to make sure you supervise the child at all times.
Overall, I am really impressed with this toy. The quality and workmanship of it is great and the concept is absolutely brilliant. Without a shadow of a doubt, I would most certainly recommend anyone thinking of buying it to do just that. Not just from a toy perspective but the interaction, the learning and bonding too. Such a fab toy.
Suitable from birth to 6-36 months.
