TI AMO Hand Tied Bouquet From 123 FLOWERS (Medium) Review

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, I jumped at the chance to review the Ti Amo (‘I Love You’) Hand Tied Bouquet from 123 Flowers, as my wife absolutely loves flowers.
The Bouquet arrived via Royal Mail, the day after I was told I had been allocated them, which was an excellent service. They arrived in a tall, upright cardboard box, which had a convenient handle, so there was no reason for them to be mishandled along the way. When I opened the box, I found a beautiful bouquet, wrapped in white and clear cellophane, a packet of flower food and an ‘Essential Tips’ instruction leaflet. The stems of the flowers were wrapped in a special wrapping to keep them moist during transit.
I found one of our vases, which was suitable for the size of the bouquet (we believe the bouquet was medium sized, but this wasn’t entirely clear). I then read the accompanying instruction leaflet carefully to see how I needed to prepare the flowers to ensure longevity. I filled the vase with room temperature water and mixed in the flower food, which was supplied.
The ‘Essential Tips’ gave really clear instructions of how to handle each flower, including details of removing the guard petals from the roses and removing the lower leaves of the tulips, which I found really useful. Also, it contained information on how much to cut from each stem and how to care for the flowers in the following days.
The Ti Amo hand tied bouquet was made up of the following arrangement of bright and vibrant flowers:
- 9 Red Tulips
- 5 Red Rhodos Roses
- 5 Athena (White) Roses
- 4 Stems of Black Ruscus
- 3 Stems of Den Myers Asparagus
I really liked the mixture of colours within the bouquet, the contrast of the red and white, mixed with the vibrant green of the Den Myers Asparagus, alongside the Black Ruscus was beautiful.
At the point of delivery, both the tulips and the roses were in bud, as such, the bouquet didn’t really have a ‘medium’ feel to it, particularly when compared to the picture on the website. However, over the following few days (5 days from point of delivery, at the time of writing this review), the tulips and the roses have all opened and created a more spectacular display.
The RRP of the Ti Amo hand tied bouquet is £54.99, but currently on sale for £44.99. I personally think that even at the sale price, this is a high price point, for the size of bouquet that you receive, regardless of how lovely it is to receive a delivery of flowers for a special occasion, such as Valentine’s Day.
