I’ve not seen The Play That Goes Wrong but I’ve seen Noises Off and I’ve never laughed so much at a play, so needless to say that I’m a huge fan of this type of show. Straight from Edinburgh Fringe and ahead of its West End run, …Earnest? Is doing the rounds. Lighthouse has snapped up this little number for three evening shows and a matinee, running from 27th February until 1st March. When you think of the calibre of shows that debut at Edinburgh Fringe, I’m very excited to see …Earnest.

Bringing us to the theatre setting, the play follows the unexpected trials and tribulations of a group of actors who are portraying Oscar Wilde’s Earnest. In true Noises Off and The Play That Goes Wrong style … things just don’t happen the way they should. I’m looking forward to finding out what happens when the lead actor just doesn’t turn up on cue and an audience member is chosen to star in the show.

The show is brought to us in conjunction with Say It Again, Sorry. As a company, try to make their shows as interactive as possible with audience participation. They say they urge you to “be brave, book your tickets now, and we’ll promise you’ll have an experience that will stay with you forever the rest of your life” I’m so excited to find out what is in store for me. Expect the unexpected… anything could happen … actually … you or I could end up with a starring role!

I’m so excited to see …Earnest? And have such high hopes for a lot of belly laughs and unexpected twists. I think the tickets are such a brilliant price for a show
