The Body Shop Scents Of The World Review
Scents Of The World

I was lucky enough to be treated to an assortment of perfume oils from the Scents of the World Collection by The Body Shop and was not disappointed by these delightful products.
As I am not familiar with perfume oils I was interested to see how they differ from eau de toilettes and other sprays. I applied a couple of dabs onto my neck and wrists using the stick applicator. I would prefer to spray perfume on as it is easier and less messy but it is easy enough to just rub the stick along your skin a few times.
All of the scents are beautiful and subtle but have a very strong staying power due to them being a concentrated oil. I applied the Atlas Rose Mountain before going for a swim and was pleasantly surprised to find I could still smell rose notes afterwards. The downside of the oily consistency is that skin can feel wet and clogged for a while after application. It does, however, eventually leave skin feeling soft and moisturised.
My favourite scent from the collection is the Japanese Cherry Blossom. It is a little edgier than other floral scents but still remains classy and timeless. If you are looking for a truly classic and versatile scent, the Madagascan Vanilla Flower and Amazonian Wild Lily are light, crisp and suit every mood. Indian Night Jasmine is quite a rich scent better suited to evenings.
The perfumes are presented in simple and elegant 15ml glass bottles and sit prettily on my beauty table. Knowing that these products are alcohol free and are not tested on animals just makes them even sweeter. A lovely and longer lasting alternative to spray perfumes that I highly recommend.
