My lovely dad absolutely loves gadgets but is also, always misplacing the important items that he needs. So the Tile sticker was always going to be the perfect gift for him.
The Tile sticker is a small tracker that sticks to remotes, electronic devices and other leisure devices for travel. It comes with a non-replaceable battery that should last for up to 3 years, it is water resistant, has a Bluetooth range of up to 76m (250ft) and a loud ringtone! Perfect I thought… This certainly ticks all the boxes for my dad.
After ordering online, the Tile sticker arrived promptly, in a small flat envelope/package (no waiting in for a parcel, as it’s small enough to pop through the letterbox even in its packaging) and I was very excited to gift this to my dad.
This little circle shaped tracker is very discrete and although it is described as a ‘sticker’, the Tile sticker is a little bit more substantial than what you may imagine an actual ‘sticker’ to be, it’s certainly not flimsy at all! In my opinion. The Tile is very compact, lightweight, and it measures approximately the diameter of a two pence coin, with a depth that would be similar to that of a modern smart phone. It was super easy to attach with the sticker adhesive that was already been applied to the reverse of the Tile (plus you get a spare adhesive sticker to attach and use on your Tile sticker if you decide that you want to move it on to something else).
Dad is always losing his glasses especially when he is away on holiday in his camper van. Whether they are under the picnic chair outside, hiding under a pillow in the van or tucked away somewhere safe; I hear him frequently saying, “Just, where have I put my glasses case?” and mum, consequently is running around behind him trying to find them! .
The Tile sticker was very simple to set up, there is a QR code on the packaging or you can use the app store to download the Tile app. Once you created an account and have logged in, the instructions are easy to follow via your smart phone (iPhone or android). There is no payment required to use the Tile as a tracker but if you wish to access additional Premium services via tile.com it is possible to do so for £2.99/month and this will provide smart alerts, extra cover if the Tile cannot find the item it is attached to and a worry-free Warranty e.g. if your Tile were to break etc…
I would suggest that this is an epic piece of kit for everyone. My Dad has now been on the Tile website, has looked through the various different Tile models and is now planning what I can buy him next for his Birthday next month – he has decided that he wants a key fob Tile as he is always losing his van keys. All in all this was the PERFECT Father’s Day gift.
As I thought that the Tile sticker was such an amazing piece of kit – I also purchased one too for my insulated mug that I take camping with me and frequently misplace despite its size! The Tile brand will be the answer to keeping my life less stressful.
