The Hair Boss Overnight Repair Serum Review

Reviewed by Lindsay Burton

Having struggled with the condition of my hair for most of my adult life, I decided to cut most of it off earlier this year and now have a shoulder length, more manageable bob. But, with the current chilly wintery weather, having the correct haircare routine has never been more important. I decided that this year was the year that I was going to upgrade my hair regime so I was super excited to test this product! With getting older and now having colour treatment every six weeks, I knew I had to make a change. Shampoo and conditioner alone was doing nothing for me and I was determined to really up my game and try and improve the quality of my locks. Ultimately, I want to ensure my hair is in the best condition I can get it by getting it nourished and attempt to grow it longer.

I’ve started following a number of different haircare tips and adding these to my daily routine. Alongside these newfound haircare pointers, I’ve been trying out new haircare products suggested by others, trying to find something that worked for my hair type and requirements. Super excited about receiving my bottle of serum, I started to use this product!

Developed by hair expert Lisa Shepherd, The Hair Boss is a highly popular brand recommended to help your hair condition. The Overnight Repair Serum states it helps to restore my drier mid-lengths and ends, and regain some much needed moisture. With a lightweight formula, I only needed a couple drops each day to get the best results. A little bit definitely goes a long way, and this 30ml bottle is bound to last a very long time.

Formulated with a blend of luxurious hair oils, this overnight serum has very much been helping to add moisture and replenish my dry ends. It’s an indulgent, and easy way to improve hair health with only a few seconds work, adding that much needed moisture it’s desperately needing.

Other ingredients include:

My all time favourite, Macadamia Nut Oil great for calming frizz, tangles, and dullness.

Chia Seed Oil – rich in various fatty acids that can penetrate the hair shaft to seal in moisture and prevents hair breakage.

Argan Oil – can moisturize your hair and scalp and protect your hair from everyday damage.

Sunflower Seed Oil – deeply nourishing and soothing to dry hair and scalps. It locks in moisture and helps keeps hair healthy and strong.

Soy Bean Oil – contains many essential vitamins, minerals, and fatty acids.

Coconut Oil – adds lustre, shine and softness to the hair, as well as promoting hair growth.

The Overnight Repair Serum has been a fabulous new addition to my haircare routine, very easy to use and requires very little effort, it gets a 5/5 from me!

I make sure this is the last thing I do before I jump into bed and go to sleep, rubbing 2-3 drops of the product on my hands to warm it a bit, and then I gently massage it into the mid-lengths and ends of my hair.

Others have recommended I follow this by simply brushing my hair, to make sure all the product has been evenly distributed through my hair, and then simply leave it to work its magic overnight. Using this product regularly, I have definitely seen a change in the texture and appearance of my hair, especially the ends. I tend to have drier hair due to my curls and the Overnight Repair Serum has definitely helped add moisture and a glossy shine back into my hair, and provided that hydration it’s really needed on my journey to healthy, strong hair.
