As soon as the theme music of this programme started I was mentally transported back to my schooldays. I remembered how when I got home from school I would switch on the TV and that delightful Potty Time theme with its catchy harmonica tune would induce me to sit and watch. The programme would have me laughing out loud it was that good!

It’s a very innocent programme that relied on straight humour and had very few special effects and had no CGI that every programme of today seems to have. The puppets were provided by the Barry Smith Theatre of Puppets and they enacted all the stories devised and written by Michael Bentine.

I would recommend it to those who like nostalgia.
