This product – made in Australia is a 100 percent natural, vegan friendly and cruelty free product made with shea butter, papaya (paw paw), jojoba oil and calendula. It is free from Palm Oil, petroleum, castor oil and preservatives.
Enzymes naturally found in papaya gently exfoliate dry skin whilst nourishing the skin underneath. It is also rich in vitamins and minerals and has been used for skincare in Australia for over a hundred years. Calendula has traditionally been used for its healing and soothing properties. It is a bright yellow flower rich in nutrients including antioxidants to promote calm, healthy skin.
It is a multi use balm used to nourish, soothe and protect dry or irritated skin. One multi use tube can treat cracked heels and elbows, dry hands and feet and can provide relief from chafing. It is also an ideal product for dry lips, after sun care and can be used post laser therapy treatment.
It has been approved for Eczema by the Eczema Association of Australia. Only small amounts of this product are required – a little bit goes a long way. To keep for longer it should be stored below 30 degrees Celsius. The box and packaging look good and give information on ingredients and usage.
I used the product on my feet and found that the tube was very difficult to squeeze. I’m not sure if this is because the product is very thick, and I have arthritis in my hands. The balm is feels very nourishing and my skin felt moisturised, hydrated and softer. It feels quite waxy. The balm does not really have a distinctive smell but is not unpleasant. It does not leave your skin greasy which some moisturisers do – seems to sink into the skin really well. My husband also wanted to try it this morning and when he squeezed the tube it split at the bottom, meaning that the air is now getting to it. He really liked it – says it made his skin feel soft and moisturised. We cannot get any of the product out of the nozzle at the top now – it just comes out of the bottom where it is split. I’m not sure how long it will last now as it has air getting to it.
I feel that the product itself would do what it says and seems to be a lovely skin application and could be used on delicate skin due to its natural ingredients. I would happily use this balm as it feels very luxurious on the skin. I think it would be great on sunburn and radiotherapy soreness..
However, I think that the quality of the tube could be improved. Maybe it should be put into a pot rather than a tube as it is so thick. I realise it is 100% natural but still think it is a bit expensive for a small tube.
