Me and my fiancé went to Chipotle for the first time, it was the branch on Wimbledon Hill Road. With it being a Mexican Grill restaurant and I not being a great lover of spicy food, I decided I better take my fiancé along as he loves hot spicy food.

When we arrived at 6.30pm on a Saturday the restaurant was rather quiet with just two groups of people in the booths there. However this may have been down to the restaurant being similar to a 'Subway' style where you can takeaway meals too. Also in 'Subway' style there was staff behind a counter ready to ask you what you would like in your burrito/taco or soft taco. We chose to have a burrito each as this is what the restaurant is known for best and a can of drink each. My fiancé had the hottest meat there which was steak priced at £6.90 and I had the pork burrito at £6.70. You have the choice of extras to put in which is included in the burrito price. These included such examples as rice, plain and flavoured beans, cheese, sour cream, salsa (mild/hot).  The food is prepared in front of you so you are ready to eat once you have paid and sat down. The lady who served us was smiley and bubbly and the lady on the floor swept regularly and tidied the counters. There was low volume music in the background which was quite nice to have and not too loud to disturb conversations. Definitely deserves 5/5 for environment and cleanliness.

The burritos themselves were delicious and full of flavour, although I did wish I hadn't put as much in mine as typical there as it was too much for me to eat – but just my preference. Additionally you can have side orders of chips or salad, although I think the burritos are quite filling in themselves. Overall for under £10 each, this is a great meal out and we will definitely be revisiting.

Rating: 4.5/5
